Chicago and the Lord of the birds.

So it's been a while since the last post, and for that I am sad. the original intent of this blog was to get me writing more. Of course that was before I moved to a new city. So I guess being busy is a good enough excuse. I guess I'll talk a little about what I have been up to but most of it will be in the context.

I now live in Chicago. I am happy about that, it's good to be back in a big city and I have always loved Chicago. We live right outside the city, which is good because we still have some space. There is even a good sized park right next to us. Which is good because the dog needs to go out every now and then. Yep, read it agains, I have a dog. Never thought that would happen but it's really not that bad, when she obeys.

Belle

I'm still taking a bit of a break from Theater, which my pocket book is not to happy about but I think I'll be OK. I actually work at a small pet store now. I was hired to work mostly with the birds, but alas I'm more of a used car salesman for dogs. I try to mentally invoke Bobby Bolivia everyday. Due in no small part to the high volume of over priced dogs the store may well be going under soon. It may also be due to the grossly incompetent managers- though to be fair the managing for dummies book doesn't list every situation. At any rate I'm still looking for respectable employment. I'm waiting to hear on a photography assistant's position, and working at a liquor store. Both could be loads of fun. We'll see.

I've been struggling to come up with more ideas or even a comic as of late, but it seems my creative well has been dry. Of course I am just getting over mono, but I really don't want to use that as an excuse anymore. Hopefully I'll get like 6 more ideas all at once like last time. Or ya know just get a job doing them. Money is even better when you get to work less for it.

It seems that every time I work at a pet store animals find me. I was walking with Belle in the park and lo and behold a ferret walked up to us. Well it looked like it had been hurt not long before so what was I to do? I brought it home and we kept him a few days until he was healthier. Then even though it was hard, we gave him to the Greater Chicago Ferret Association.
At least that way we know he'll have a good life and not be killed there. So long Harvey.

That covers quite a bit of time though it may not seem like it, and I'd like to pace myself If I'm getting back into the writing thing seriously. That's code for I'm tired and done with this. Peace.

Always.
